When hydrocarbons were the main source of income all my life, I didn't have to worry too much about entrepreneurs, creativity, and competitiveness. Oil and gas could feed everyone, and refining it into some kind of fuel. Therefore, the economy easily swallowed all sorts of stupid investment decisions that never gave much return, and monetary compensation always came at the expense, if not of the printing press (now only through printing), then at the expense of the excess profits of the oil and gas sector.
Normally, entrepreneurs should be bowed to by those who, in fact, live off them in a normal market process, and not oppress them, as it has been all along and continues to happen, unfortunately now.
But times are changing, and already, somehow, some kind of loyalty is beginning to be seen in this business sector. Why would that be?
But everything is still ahead.
